Developing A Healthy Heart

A healthy heart is more than just physical—it’s spiritual too. Just as we look after our bodies with exercise and good food, we must also guard and strengthen our hearts with God’s truth. The state of our hearts affects everything—our thoughts, our words, and our actions. A heart filled with God’s love beats with faith, peace, and kindness.
Proverbs 4:23 reminds us, “Be careful what you think, because your thoughts run your life” (NCV). What we allow into our hearts will shape our lives. If we dwell on worry, bitterness, or fear, our hearts will grow weary. But when we fill them with God’s Word, gratitude, and trust, they remain strong and full of life.
A healthy heart makes for a healthy life. Take time to nurture your heart. Feed it with Scripture, protect it from negativity, and let it reflect God’s love in all you do.
